About gDonna
The photo is my son and myself. Now days you can get a photo made to look old like this one. This photo was taken when this was the new look.

Harry S Truman was president when I was born and world war II had ended. I grew up in a time when lunch was put in a brown paper bag and a sandwich was wrapped with wax paper. There was no such thing as pantyhose, we wore stockings that attached to the rubbery clippy things that attached to the girdle. Convenience stores were not common and when we took a trip we packed a picnic basket because many places did not have fast food. Highways had places to pull over and stop, some with picnic tables. Update on Katherine

December 1, 2016

I have not updated about Katherine since her surgery 13 days ago.  We have very good news to report.  Katherine had her stitches removed from under her neck yesterday and her surgery wound has closed completely.

They made an incision under her neck and went into her spine to operate on a herniated disc in her neck.

They shaved her under her neck and on the top backside of her back.  She had a Myelogram before surgery.  She does not have any type of paralysis from the herniation.  Three years ago she had emergency surgery for a herniation in her lower back and she had paralysis.  They got to her quickly and after a few weeks she was walking again.

We love our Katherine very much, she will smile for us and she knows how to sign the word more and has a full understanding the meaning for more and will sign more to rub her tummy, more food, more play.  She also rings a bell at our door to go outside.  She is a joy in our lives along with Elizabeth and Bernadette.

She is showing you her surgery scar that is up and down her neck and hardly visible since they removed the stitches.

We want to thank you for your prayers and well wishes for Katherine.  We are very relieved that she is doing well.

ALSO, tomorrow is Katherine's Birthday!  She will be 9 years old.  I will never forget the day we brought her home and time is going by so fast.

Her brother Frank lives with my Son and he is very healthy and all we have to say to Katherine is the word "Frank" and she will run to the window and look out.

We have enjoyed them so much...

And they still enjoy visiting each other...

They were the cutest babies :)

Happy Birthday Frank and Katherine (AKA Katie, louie).  We love you both :)
