About gDonna
The photo is my son and myself. Now days you can get a photo made to look old like this one. This photo was taken when this was the new look.

Convenience stores were not common and when we took a trip we packed a picnic basket because many places did not have fast food. Highways had places to pull over and stop, some with picnic tables. Friday, November 12, 1943.  I went over town with Mrs Denison and she went up to Mrs. Clark then go to Lebanon on the 2 o'clock bus.  Came home and washed Richards clothes and did the work up got dinner and colored some Good Luck Marginn.  Didn't do much this P.M. seem to have a little cold coming as Richard has.

Saturday, November 13. Nice day no snow yet just a few spits last Thursday.  Went to Public Market and got hamburg and a little liver intended going over street this P.M. but felt too tired altho I only kept going this forenoon and got the house cleaned up.  Had to lie down and rest.  Guess we will get along til Monday.

Sunday, November 14.  Didn't go out today.  Layed down after dinner but got up and wrote 2 letters.  Nothing to write.

Monday, November 15.  Cold day but did my washing even if I did oversleep.  Richard dicovered some cheese spread in 3 lb boxes so I hiked over before I did anything and got one   I hope it helps him as he dos seem to depend so on his cheese   Must try and go again tomorrow and get quite a load as there are oranges and plenty grape fruit.  Spit some snow and tonight is cold and can see a little snow on the ground  B Cheese 1.50 15 points Some price!

Tuesday, November 16.  Didn't seem to feel fit this morning anyway it has been a damp dull day and some snow on the ground, but I worked after dinner then went over street about 4 and got oranges & grape fruit  The oranges are small and not very good but will improve.

Wednesday, November 17.  Finished ironing but didn't go out, shall have to get used to cold and if the Sun shines twill be easier.

Thursday, November 18.  Sun shine today and I took my "Jeep" and went shopping at the A&P.  but didn't get my 2nd allowance of sugar nor the grape fruit.  They were especialy nice and must try some more.  Went to Public this aft. and got bread & Potatos Did me an under petticote to wear extra when it is colder.  A knit goods  I had with crochet on the bottom but put an elastic in the back.  Baked beans.

*I have a little surprise for you today, Lena had two clippings here in her diary and I will share them with you.
