Harry S Truman was president when I was born and world war II had ended. I grew up in a time when lunch was put in a brown paper bag and a sandwich was wrapped with wax paper. There was no such thing as pantyhose, we wore stockings that attached to the rubbery clippy things that attached to the girdle. Convenience stores were not common and when we took a trip we packed a picnic basket because many places did not have fast food. Highways had places to pull over and stop, some with picnic tables. This is the PERFECT bread recipe. Every other week I trash bread because I cannot get through a regular loaf. These directions are so well written and easy to follow. I made this and I am not a good bread maker or pie crust maker and this one worked for me after many different recipe attempts. IT IS DELICIOUS! Thank you for sharing and will be used and passed on because it tasted so good. Oh, and thank you for the tip on how to keep it fresh. No one has suggested that before!
