About gDonna
The photo is my son and myself. Now days you can get a photo made to look old like this one. This photo was taken when this was the new look.

Harry S Truman was president when I was born and world war II had ended. I grew up in a time when lunch was put in a brown paper bag and a sandwich was wrapped with wax paper. There was no such thing as pantyhose, we wore stockings that attached to the rubbery clippy things that attached to the girdle. Convenience stores were not common and when we took a trip we packed a picnic basket because many places did not have fast food. Highways had places to pull over and stop, some with picnic tables. Hello Donna,

You probably don't remember, but a few years ago I tried to read through your blog from start to finish. I read a lot ~ and every moment was worth it.

Do you happen to know which post was the first that is still available on your blog? I'd love to go back and see if I missed anything. You've been a major encouragement through some very difficult years.

Blessings to you from Harvest Lane Cottage,

Laura Lane

The LORD bless you!

GRANDMA DONNA WROTE; Hi Laura, first I want to say, thank you for letting me know that the blog has helped you, the blog has helped me as well because of people just like you.  Also as I may have told you before that I pray each time before I post and I ask God to use me as a tool to write what I am suppose to write in this post, and to write in a way that it will help someone in some way.

Laura, to answer your question.  The oldest and first blog post that is still there is the one on July 5th 2011.  https://gdonna.com/living-like-the-past/our-victor...
