- I would be too. I do remember the coin slot meters. As I grew older, they began to change them to top up style, where people would go to a post office and have their plastic card topped up with credit, then place it in the machine.
Your solar lamps look so lovely, such a great idea. And I LOVE the milk glass chicken/night light.
I'm a little late to this conversation, but I always kept a few old sheets to make "forts" with the kids and grandkids and the kitchen table and chairs. Not sure if you have any little ones that come by often, but it's a great thing to do on rainy or cold days.
Stephanie G We have our grandparents old Dietz lantern that was used back when the edison company used to go around and light the lanterns on the streets in Los Angeles. It sat by the old pool shed until one day our Nana asked us if we wanted it and told us the story behind it. Our papa inherited it when he worked for the telephone company there. We also were gifted at the same time by them this very old waffle iron. My husband took it to work and soda blasted it to clean it up. We seasoned it very well. We don't have a gas stove to try it on, but have always wanted to do so. It's been in the family for 6 generations now.
