About gDonna
The photo is my son and myself. Now days you can get a photo made to look old like this one. This photo was taken when this was the new look.

Harry S Truman was president when I was born and world war II had ended. I grew up in a time when lunch was put in a brown paper bag and a sandwich was wrapped with wax paper. There was no such thing as pantyhose, we wore stockings that attached to the rubbery clippy things that attached to the girdle. Convenience stores were not common and when we took a trip we packed a picnic basket because many places did not have fast food. Highways had places to pull over and stop, some with picnic tables. It is more than Happiness

December 3, 2016

Photos taken about an hour and forty five minutes drive from where we live.

We can find beauty in nature and also inspiration. But happiness is quite different.  Standing here looking could cause, wonderment or even sadness if this spot is a memory we had with someone no longer with us.  Either way it is beautiful.

When we see this beauty looking at it in a picture we can study the image and be in awe of natures beauty.

But when we are present we "feel" the wind and we hear the sounds and we start becoming part of something.

To "Feel" seems to me to be the most important link to happiness.

Life is about change.  We and things around us are constantly changing so we have to adjust to these changes so where do we find happiness?

Happiness is inside of us. It is understanding our purpose that can cause true happiness.  The small things in life and creativity can cause much happiness.  I cannot think of one single material thing that brings me more happiness than when I am happy because of what I doing or what I am planning in my head of what I am going to do.

Many people are searching for something spiritual, something that makes sense.  Some take journeys to find what it is they are looking for, that spiritual path.  That spirit is already with us. We have it all the time but we are so burdened with our hurried lives, the clutter around us that we cannot see clearly.

Also Love, Happiness and Creativity is inside us right now and all we have to do is tap into it.   I know when I am being creative I can feel my energy surge.

Sometimes we make life more complicated than it has to be.  I don't have to go anywhere to be inspired.  It is right here in this small house with a small yard and a busy road in front of us and a busy road behind us and an intersection at one end and a neighbors house at the other.

I find happiness by continuing to learn new things.  It keeps me healthier, it keeps my mind more active.

I am learning to save seed, something that I have never been good at only because I have not tried to do this very much.  This has become very important now that I know how important it is to save heirloom seeds.

I am happy that I have been able to keep my mother's heirloom Chrysanthemums alive since her passing and now have learned how to propagate them.

Each thing I do now has become more important because I am getting older.  I want you that are still young to know to start now, don't wait until you are older to start learning and educating yourself about how to do things that can help to take care of our earth.

We can learn new skills and make our home be a wonderful and nourishing place instead of just a place live. It does matter and we can find a sense that we are doing something right in our life. This brings happiness not only for ourselves but those around us.

Making bread is something that always makes a home smell wonderful and cooking is such a necessary and important skill to learn.

If we do not have anyone to cook for we can cook something for someone else and take it to them.  Helping others and sharing is something that can make us very happy.  Many people are becoming isolated and some are very lonely.  Some are sick and some are going through tough times. This is something that we can do something about and we can find happiness in what we do.

Happiness is more than a word or definition.  It is inside us next to love and patience.  It is linked to our feeling, touch, hearing, seeing but most importantly it is there inside us waiting for us to release it so it can show up on our face, overtake our mind and beat in our heart.
